The main purpose of Raise is to bring together people, partners, neighbourhoods and industry, to raise marginalised children and young people (aged 11-25) – by providing a wide range of innovative Education and Wellbeing Services.

Jason Steele, CEO of Raise The Youth Foundation and Proprietor of Raise Education & Wellbeing School.

Founded in 2011 and based in Bolton, Raise The Youth Foundation is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise that provides totally unique Education and Therapeutic support for Greater Manchester’s marginalised children and young people (aged 11-25) and their families. Working closely with the Community also forms an important part of our overall plans and vision.

Raise Education & Wellbeing School forms part of the Raise The Youth Foundation and is proud to be able to offer excellent Education and Therapeutic support for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health issues.

Looking ahead

Raise The Youth Foundation and our School have a Mission – to invest in young people – because they are our future. There is no greater investment than the education and wellbeing of young people.

With this in mind, we plan to continue to help and inspire as many young people as possible, using the same principles and blueprint that led us to opening our very first School in Bolton.

We are keen to invest in young people all around Greater Manchester, by building on our unique offering and full commitment to the provision of health and wellbeing across the Greater Manchester Authorities.

What does Raise Education & Wellbeing School offer Young People?

During the past six years Raise has gone through an interesting, challenging and exciting journey as a social business. Today, our main core business centres around Education & Wellbeing services for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We are extremely proud to have achieved Registered School status and are dedicated to becoming an outstanding one.

We want to deliver education in a way that works for the young people who attend Raise. So, our unique curriculum is designed to inspire and motivate young people – not force them down a track that hasn’t previously worked. Our values include: fairness; equality; a person centred approach; democracy, reaching high, working hard. We want to develop good inclusive British citizens who make the world a better place.

We offer choice; we offer opportunities; we offer support. But most of all, we try our best to inspire young people each and every day. Our young people are at the centre of everything we do. We believe in them. We try to help them believe in themselves.
