About the Role
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Reception Administrator to join our Business Support Team. This is a key front-of-house role, responsible for managing the reception area and delivering high-quality administrative support across the school.
You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a safe, efficient, and friendly reception environment. Alongside reception duties, you will support a wide range of administrative functions, including attendance reporting, resource management, communications, and facilities support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a front-line, customer-focused service for pupils, staff, and visitors
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including calls, emails, and post
- Maintain accurate school records and support attendance reporting
- Coordinate printing, reprographics, and resource distribution
- Support compliance checks and health & safety procedures
- Assist with student welfare administration and safeguarding protocols
- Undertake general administrative tasks, including minuting meetings and drafting correspondence
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Calm and emotionally regulated under pressure
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally
- Comfortable working with young people and families with challenging behaviours
- Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable:
- Experience in a school-based administrative role
- Familiarity with Educational Management Information Systems
- L2 English and Maths qualifications

Our School
Raise Education and Wellbeing school is a trauma-informed independent SEMH special school that caters for 11 to 19 year olds (up to 25 if their needs require) with education and healthcare plans.
In addition we provide a Day 6 service to councils for children that have been permanently excluded, providing them with specialist assessment in order to determine their overall needs.
We are a new school, having registered in 2016 and received an Ofsted judgement of Good with Outstanding features, in 2017 & 2022.
